Call for Applications | Digital Rights School 2026

As more of our lives move online, understanding our digital rights is becoming increasingly important. From how we express ourselves and protect our privacy to how we respond to misinformation, AI-generated content, and hate speech, the digital space comes with both opportunities and new challenges.
Digital Rights Nepal #DRN and Dignity Initiative, in coordination with the Digital Rights Action Group (DRAG), are inviting applications for Digital Rights School 2026, a one-day interactive learning programme on digital rights and emerging issues in the digital space.
The programme will explore digital rights and freedom of expression, digital safety and privacy, misinformation and disinformation, AI-generated content, responsible online engagement, and caste-based hate speech and discrimination.
Through discussions, role plays, real-life scenarios, and practical exercises, participants will have the opportunity to engage with these issues and develop practical knowledge for safer, more inclusive, and responsible participation online.
The programme is open to representatives of civil society organizations based in Kathmandu Valley working on Dalit rights, gender justice, and the rights of marginalized and vulnerable communities.

Date: 30 September 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Kathmandu
Application deadline: 27 September 2026

If you work with communities whose rights and voices matter in the digital space, we invite you to apply.
