Aboout the Speaker:
Professor Narender Kumar is currently at the Centre for Political Studies, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Earlier he was with Dr. K. R. Narayanan Centre for Dalit and Minorities Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow and Motilal Nehru College, Delhi University.
A recipient of the prestigious Indo-French Social Sciences Fellowship, 2011 awarded by the University Grants Commission, Professor Kumar was a member of Indo-European Network Programme, which included the following institutions: CERI, Paris, London School of Economics, Kings College, London, JNU and BBAU, Lucknow. He has published extensively and is widely acknowledged for his work and activism on the Dalits and political participation, affirmative action and reservation policy in India.
