Discourse for Dignity

To facilitate discussions on urgent matters confronting the Dalit community, we have developed the concept of Dignity Discourse as a monthly forum. This gathering feature eminent guest speakers—whether experts, activists, or thought leaders—who bring perspective to the current issues faced by the Dalit community. These sessions are designed to provoke thought and action, encouraging participants to understand and rethink these issues rather than simply focusing on the problems they encounter.

The mode of dialogue is such that as soon as the speaker’s presentation is completed, the discussion begins, and all audience members are encouraged to ask questions, express opinions, and share their own experiences. Such forums not only encourage dialogue but also enhance the representation of Dalit voices, which is crucial in the current context, where underrepresented groups need to be heard the most. The purpose of this is to promote mutual understanding and unity, which, it is hoped, will lead to a commitment to making a difference in society.

In connection with this, our organization would like to invite all who share a similar vision to join us at Dignity Discourse, which will be a safe space where you can play an instrumental role in upholding the tenets of respect, compassion, and dignity. To express your interest, request more information, or reserve your place at our next meeting, please send an email to info@dignityinitiative.org.
