The Dignity Initiative and Nepal Youth Foundation are delighted to announce the opening of applications for the inaugural edition of the national conference on “Caste in the Judiciary and Dalit’s Access to Justice” scheduled to be held on Sunday, 5th May 2024, in Kathmandu. This conference aims to convene Dalit law students from across Nepal for engaging in critical discussion around equity, justice and human rights. The event will feature a keynote speech, panel discussions, and interactive sessions focusing on themes of inclusivity, the caste system, and the critical role of legal professionals in translating constitutional commitments into reality.

Selected participants will have the opportunity of engaging in discussions with eminent scholars, activists, and practitioners in the field. To register your interest of participation, please fill out this application form by 30 April, 2024. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 1st May 2024.

Selected participants are required to pay a commitment fee of Rs. 1000 to attend this conference. Participants traveling from outside the Kathmandu Valley are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. For any questions and queries, please contact below:
