About the Speaker
Professor Krishnendra Meena
Professor Krishnendra Meena is with the Centre for the Study of Regional Development and
Chief Advisor, Equal Opportunities Office, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.
Concurrently, he is Secretary General, Society for Indian Ocean Studies, New Delhi, India and
Member, Global Diplomacy Lab. Recently, the BMW Foundation nominated him as a BMW
Responsible Leader. As a part of the Managing Global Governance (MGG) Network anchored
by GIZ, Germany, he is currently involved in a project titled ‘India’s Regional Relations in a
Transitioning World: Policies, Priorities and Practices’.
His areas of expertise include political geography, geo-politics and border and trans-boundary
theory. He has published extensively and has many peer reviewed publications to his credit and
is a syndicated columnist with Lokmarg.
