Dalits have suffered a long history of exploitation and discrimination. Their contribution in the
making of civilization has gone unnoticed and unappreciated. Therefore, this initiative seeks to
examine and address the historical legacy of caste discrimination and its ties to contemporary
society. This further creates a platform to challenge unjust historical narratives, discuss truth,
narratives and evidences, archiving and documenting history and offer alternative narratives of
the Dalit.

To this end, Dignity Initiative hosts a monthly dialogue for frank discussions, reflections and
contemplation of caste and exclusion and the impact it has on individual and the community.
